Where this policy applies
This policy covers Slync Journal and its coverage of websites, mobile apps, custom software, AI, e-commerce and cloud solutions. External websites and services linked from articles have their own privacy practices.
Information used by the journal
- Reading: public articles do not require an account. Hosting and image providers may process technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver requests.
- Signing in: Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication supplies your account identifier, display name, email and profile image. Profile information supports account features.
- Participating: Firebase stores comments, likes and bookmarks associated with your account, with relevant article identifiers and timestamps.
- Publishing: published articles and comments, including displayed author information, are public. Editor drafts are restricted to their author.
- Contacting us: the contact form prepares a draft in your email app. If you send it, we receive the information in your message and use it to handle your enquiry.
Browser storage and tracking
Account services use browser storage to maintain sign-in, and the journal remembers your theme preference. Older articles created before shared publishing may remain in your browser’s local storage until removed. Clearing site data can remove those local articles and reset preferences; it does not delete Firebase records.
The journal does not add advertising trackers. Following our RSS feed does not require submitting an email address to the journal.
Service providers
The journal uses Google Firebase for authentication and database features, and hosting infrastructure to serve pages. Images may load from external providers. These services receive information needed to operate their features. External websites and social channels are outside this policy.
Your choices and data requests
You can browse without signing in, sign out, remove likes or bookmarks, and delete your own comments or articles where controls are available. Signing out does not delete your account or contributions.
For questions about access, correction or deletion of your information, email slync.co.in@gmail.com. Include the account email and enough detail to identify your request. Do not send passwords or authentication codes. We may need to verify account ownership before acting.
Public and confidential information
Do not place customer records, payment details, credentials, confidential source code or sensitive business information in public comments or articles. Use anonymised examples when discussing software projects, AI workflows, commerce systems or cloud infrastructure.
Retention and policy changes
Account records and contributions remain in the services used by the journal unless removed. Contact us about retention or deletion of specific information. Copies of public content may remain in search engines or third-party archives outside our control.
